Greenhouse Gases

As part of our Whole Systems approach, one of our goals is to take a company’s core technology and monetize how the technology reduces, eliminates and/or sequesters harmful greenhouse gasses. By partnering with carbon credit project developers, brokers and other involved parties, we are able to establish additionality and permanence thus generating carbon credits—a valuable and sustainable revenue stream for partner firms.

Primary Gases

The three primary gasses we seek to address are:

  • Carbon Dioxide, CO2. One ton of carbon dioxide equivalent forms the basis of a carbon credit which can then be traded between the project developer (seller) and buyer. Carbon dioxide emissions are the most significant greenhouse gas accounting for approximately three quarters of all greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Methane, CH4. This gas is 21 times more effective at trapping heat than carbon dioxide and accounts for approximately 15% of all greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Nitrous Oxide, N2O. This gas is 310 times more impacting than one ton of carbon dioxide and accounts for approximately 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions.
